Compare and Contrast Taiwanese and Chinese Oolong Teas

What is oolong tea? The formal definition is a semi-oxidized tea leaf. That definition fails to capture the deep complexities of flavors, leaf styles and aromas. There are two main places to find the best oolongs in world: Taiwan and China.
This lecture will explore the different manufacturing methods, soil and flavors present in oolong teas. You will learn the gong-fu Chinese tea brewing style with a gaiwan tea cup and yixing tea pot.
Tasting includes:
China
Organic Big Red Robe--This famous tea has large flinty leaves with peachy notes.
Phoenix Oolong--A rare oolong tea, this tea has apriocot, honey and peachy notes.
Taiwan
Brandy oolong--This oolong is so dark that it is almost black tea. It has notes of ceder, honey, cinnamon, cardamon and more!
Oriental Beauty--A dark oolong with honey and peach notes.
The $5 fee includes a teacup and the tastings.
